Ms. Young

Ms. Young was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where she attended Wesleyan School. She graduated from Auburn University with a Communication degree and a minor in Spanish. After college, she was a volunteer in the Republic of the Marshall Islands through Harvard University's World Teach program. She taught Kindergarten through 5th grade English at Wotje Elementary School on Wotje Atoll for one year while living with a host family on the island. Immediately following her return, she was hired at Lovett as the Director of the After School Program. She worked for three years as the Director of ASAP and then returned to the classroom to pursue her passion for teaching. She was a co-teacher for two years with Laurie Smilack and Sarah Raymer in 1st grade as she earned her Masters in Early Childhood Education at Georgia State University. She is a Young Life leader at Lovett and is an active member of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Link is native of Savannah, GA and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She previously was a co-teacher in 3rd grade for 3 years and 4th grade for 4 years. This will be her 8th year at Lovett as a co-teacher and my 20th year associated with Lovett as a parent. She has two sons, Phillip (2009) and Wesley (2011), who are Lovett alumni. Her third son Andrew is in the 12th grade in the Upper School. Her husband Kevin, of 26 years, was the Scoutmaster of Lovett Boy Scout Troop 304 for 10 years. Lovett is very dear to the hearts of all of her family! In addition to her children, she also has two very loving cats, Ginger and Callie.! She enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, spending time with her family, and running.
